Subject: hp 4600 IP: Logged
Message: Hp 4600 toner smear on back and front of printed pages most othe time magenta i diengaged toner carts and swapped colors if i put black where magenta was i get black smear on the back and front ot print also there is a toner build up on transfer unit so here is what i did replaced DC controller board upgraded to a 70 was 6d replaced transfer unit and all toner carts STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM IM THINKING HIGH VOLTAGE the reason i replaced DC controller Board and so on i listen to tech support PN and Laser Pros please Help

Message: Pull the fuser and look at the infeed guide underneath...see if you are getting a build-up of melted toner. If so, scrape it off [easiest to do when hot] Also clean the shield assembly that mounts under the fuser.

Message: Make sure you have the latest firmware installed; there was an issue with smearing caused by firmware.
