Just wondering if anyone has ran into the Xerox Color Qube? I have a long time customer who is now being approached by Xerox with Unlimited copies b/w @$532.00 per month 60 month lease and includes service, parts, labor, and supplies except paper and staples. Color at .025 each and that is not a big deal to the customer, but this customer is very high volume black and white. They will use little to no color.

Does anyone out there know what's up with this are the black and white really free?

I can see black and white being added, but unlimited. How can you offer that with no limit on black and white? How much should be charged on black and white on that machine?

with a little searching on the web you can get a black "toner" for this machine for about $25. est yield on this based on 5% coverage is 40k copies. this is why unlimited black and white can be offered. imagine what xerox pays for this maybe a couple of dollars.....

The key is the 5 year lock. They will hook them and try to keep them hooked for many many years!

This is a solid ink copier.
My commercial customers (invitations/cards)
Have been wanting one of these for years
Since No fuser it can run all kinds of paper
That a machine with a fuser can't do.
Customers swear by their Xerox Phaser solid ink printers .I have had customers willing to pay to fix 12 year old solid ink printers.

It is also very green tech in that the waste
produced is very small no old fuser/drum/toner cartridges.
