Subject: H.P 4345MFP IP: Logged
Message: HAVE A H.P 4345MFP UNIT THAT WILL NOT HOLD IP ADDRESS/SUBNET MASK AND SO ON CUST USING THE EMBEDDED JET DIRECT NOW H.P SENT A NEW FORMATTER BOARD THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURED THE JETDIRECT PAGE LOOKS LIKE THE FOLLOWING GENERAL INFO STATES LAN ERROR-LOSS OF CARRIER

AND SO ON ANY HELP THE PRINTER WILL HOLD INFO FOR APPROX 15 MINS THEN GO BACK TO OOOOOOOOOOO

Message: I had an HP 9000 that was doing that, and it ended up being a networking problem.

Message: The newer versions of hp printers with nics will diplay zeros for ip's when not connected or have a bad connection/network or hub issues.

Message: "LAN error - loss of carrier" simply means it isn't connected to the network or there is no signal from the network. Did you configure the EIO manually? If using static or dynamic make sure you have a good working network connection first. Manual settings should hold once entered even if the machine is unplugged from the network

Message: had this on some and had to update nic firmware and never had a problem again also do machine firmware
