Subject: Time To Refurb Copier IP: Logged
Message: How much time (average) should a refurb on a offlease Panasonic DP-4530 take. I know there are a lot of variables to this question such as part replacements, etc. I am just looking for an average. Firmware update, PM kit install, thorough cleaning, thorough checkout. The machines come from a third party and I have no idea about the quality of the service provided in the past. My boss thinks about 4 hours is sufficient. Should that be enough time on average. Thanks for your input.

Message: PM alone takes about hour an half. If you add in rebuilding the fuser unit and firmware update add another hour. So three hours should be enough for someone experienced with that model. Therefore 4 hours should be ample time. Have Fun

Message: Back in the day I would do 2 Minolta EP 450Z's a week. All bearings, clutches, and rubber replaced as well as adf belt, drum, dev. etc. Wash all covers and replace any with a scratch. Then roll back the meter.
