We are getting copy quality issues with streaking. Have followed Sharps recommendations and are still having issues. When we get to the printer calibration mode, it will not calibrate. Having the same problem on a MX 2300 as well. Any suggestions.
Thanks

Brian

I need to know what kind of streaking you are having. Is it Void Steaking or Color streaks if so what colors? Are they like lines or big bold streaks?

I can give you a few suggestions. Try cleaning the Main Charge grids on each drum wtih 90% alchohal and be sure and get as much of the greenish crap off them. This can cause a streaking issue. It could also be possible a cleaning blade is needed on the primary transfer belt and or you are using the wrong powder on the belt. The primary xfer belt requires stearic acid and strogan powder (forgot what the 2nd one is) but here is the part number for both powders. UKOG-0312FCZZ and UKOG-0316FCZZ.

Using cheap off brand powder can cause issues. Not always but sometimes. I admit I use katun powder in emergencys but try to avoid it if at all possible on this machine.

One other thing if you are getting a specific problem like a big yellow streak about 2 inches vertical on the page may be 2-3 big streaks. You may need to replace the developer sensor for whatever color the streak is. This is usually noticable because calibration will not complete giving sub_yellow_rear or sub_cyan_front etc.. error codes.
