 Subject: Kyocera FS-1128 service mode answer

A few weeks ago I posted that I couldn't get into service mode on this. I got two suggestions, both good and one was right. The machine has to be in "COPY" mode for 10871087 to do its thing. Mine was in FAX and I never thought of that. The other was to open the front door, which applies to other KMs but not to this one.

I still THINK if you have a fatal code like C6000 you have to open the toner door to get into sims.

I suspec tyou are right. Funny how KM leaves little details out of the ier service manuals, or maybe I just missed it.
4050s it has to be open door all the time to enter sims. 4035s did not. 1820 I think it was open door in error mode but not in normal tests. Jeez. After 37 years in the industry, just when it was getting easy.....!!!!!
