Message: It gets a shadow starting as a point 1 3/16 inches from the leading edge which then fans out to 1 1/2 inches wide by the time it gets to the trailing edge on a 11 X 8 1/2. If I try it on a legal sheet: it continues to fan out to a full 3 1/2 inches. THE DOC FEEDER DOES NOT DO IT... DF IMAGE IS PERFECT. ONLY HAPPENS ON ORIG. GLASS.
It is exactly the same every time.
I've cleaned everything I can find. It seems to be a scanner issue tied to the mirror assy. I hate these odd ones
Thanx as always ... Pete

Message: Hello-What all have you tried? You'll get odd image and shadow if the scanner isn't square--meaning the front left corner has been leaned on frequently. Give it a slight "field adjustment" upwards and see if that helps any.
Good luck, Steven

Message: Interesting Steven... I'll give it a try to see if it changes the shadow. It is exactly the same each time so it will be obvious if it changes... Thanx... Pete
