Subject: hp4000tn replace jet card IP: Logged
Message: replaced network card after customer tore it from wall. now i cant get the damn thing to print from the network. im sure their I.T. guy did something to change the setting, but what? and how can i tell if its a bad(refurbished)jetcard? oh yeah, they will pay.

Message: you should be able to get the ip address from the computer. Ping it and see if you get a reply, Oh yea see if you have a green light on the card first.

Message: If reseating the NIC card doesn't help, try EIO slot #2 in rear of the printer. Maybe they damaged the formatter connnection @ EIO #1.

Message: Tore it from wall? I guess I would check the socket cat5 socket. Yes it is VERY likely the fugged the Formatter

Message: Unless the formatter is cracked, like Kenny suggests. The Nic may produce 2 pages in another machine.
