 Subject: HP 2200 Top Lite Flashing

Customer complained of machine making noise and top lite flashing. Tried several cartridges, leaving it unplugged overnite & NV Ram Reset. Talked to Liberty Tech and came up with replace formatter. After replacing formatter same thing. Top lite flashes. Machine does cycle thru warm up. Anybody know what else to try? Thanks.

Check the service manual and observe the pattern in the lights to determine the error

Did you use the same memory?
A memory error resulted in one or
more printer settings being reset to
factory defaults.
Print a configuration page and verify
that the printer setting are set
correctly.
Turn the printer off. Press and hold
JOB CANCEL and turn the printer
on. Keep JOB CANCEL depressed
until all of the Control-panel lights
illuminate. Release JOB CANCEL
and send the print job again.
Replace the formatter.

Thanks for the replys. Did the job cancel reset with both formatters. Would not come ready to print configuration. Will try a LSU later today and post out come.
