Message: Replaced a belt on one-old on shredded, and ran printhead align, paper align programs and whatever else i could find in service manual-I have not much exp. w/ these. print looks bold and slightly blurry as do lines. print head moves smoothly-cleaned rail, etc. could there be bits of old belt causing a problem or did i miss an alignment procedure? any help appreciated. thanks.

Message: yes i find you have to really get the gear on the
motor clean. use a spring hook and clean out the
teeth.

Message: i had one that i allowed the rail bushings that goes into a cutout on each side of the print head to fall out. that is what is needed to hold it tight. i seem to remember that they can go in backwards. they look like a letter "c". some stuff was blurry. may have failed the alignment setup. thats the problem with working on stuff only once in a few years. learning curve forgets. good luck.
