Message: Was out on this the other day. Was making
horizontal black stripes on pages. Looked like
either laser scanner going out or intermittent
drum ground. Found a copper contact inside the
mach for the drum unit bent out of shape. Got it
put back in its proper position & cleaned it. Mach
worked ok after that. They've now called back with
the same problem. Not sure what to try next.
Any ideas?
TIA, Gordon

Message: Since I'm almost positive this is an LED print
system I doubt you will get far with LSU
replacement. Sounds like the Drum unit needs to be
replaced and most likely has a line on the Primary
Charge roller (part of the Drum Unit) ... But of
course knowing customers...You may have already
fixed it but now a white out spot on the optics is
your fault because you worked on it and thats just
the way enders think. Good luck -Cope

Message: Thanks guys. Not familar with these mach's. Just
assumed it was laser. DUH! I never even made the
connection between no glass/no laser. I'll try
a new drum unit.
