Subject: Brother HL 1270 IP: Logged
Message: Is there a re-set for the fuser that I may try before replacing it? Prolly a silly question, but thanx in advance for the help...I just don't have manuals for brother, cuz I don't have enough of them in my territory.

Note
this problem will be cleared if leaving the printerON for ten minutes. ?
If the heater is cooled down sufficiently, this problem may be cleared by turning on the printer power switch while pressing the panel button.
BE WARNED, HOWEVER, THAT THIS OPERATION WILL MELT THE FIXING UNIT IF THE HEATER IS HOT.

Message: not sure what started it but the LED s indicate that the fuser is at fault. I will check some items before trying thepanel re-set. Thank you.

Message: Thank you, the re-set did it. I just took the fuser out and cleaned the thermostor and rollers, greased, and put it back together, then did the re-set. It's been workin like a charm sinse. Gratis.
