Message: HP 2600 prints colors but no black . Black is completely missing . My first thought was the scanner but black and yellow share the same and yellow is fine. I have tried different cartridges .
and nothing is blocking the lenses.

Message: I know the 2600 is a completely different animal, and I don't have my service manual here at the house to check, but I know the HP 3700 has a seperate black toner motor that has caused that problem alot for me in the past. This is just a guess and please don't criticise me for the model differences.

Message: hey ken, just because its a diff model doesn't mean that couldn't be the prob. i for one, am not here to criticize anyone whos trying to help one of us when we're lost. i think that goes for most of the techs that frequent this board.
