GENERAL - RUBBER FEED ROLLERS

After a while all rubber feed rollers will pick up the adhesive and the paper dust from the paper. This will cause a smooth surface to develop. I always use any type of petroleum based oil to clean them. It will make them last longer, whereas alcohol will only dry them out faster.

GENERAL - FOAM ROLLERS AND BELTS

Putting any kind of solution on them will only melt the foam. Try using water and if needed a little mild soap on these. this will help get the dust and dirt out of them. This is good as a fix or until you come back with the roller.

Feeds more than one sheet of paper, replace separator pad, you can use rubber pad material that you can get at a local hardware store, like OSH. So far this has worked for me.

Vertical deletions through text usually 1-1.5 inchs apart
Check black clutch spring on right side of transport. It is
proably unhooked from the bottom frame

PAPER JAMS
Paper jam when paper being fed from copy tray is almost fully exited from the machine. White bearing clutch oc door slipping replace as necessary.

PAPER FEED
Paper not feeding out of the paper tray. Replace the half-moon paper feed rollers.

PAPER JAM
If copy will not exit completely (about an inch left in unit), display will show jam. Problem is almost always the clutch, located under front cover- on frame. It's round, white plastic, and removes with 2 screws and 1-c clip.  When it wears, the bearing inside let it reverse ever so slightly, enough to cause the problem.  Replace it, don't even try to repair it.

Paper Jams
Ensure that plastic pressure rollers are making posistive contact with transit rollers.

JAMMING IN AREA 2
If receiving or copy output jams in the 2 page, usually the problem can be resolved by replacing the paper chute. In other cases, check the input and output rollers and make sure they do not have any wear grooves around roller.

JAM IN AREA 2

also check front bearing gear for slippage

AREA 3 JAMS
Replace output chute assy plus two output rollers that chute attach to

NOISE AND MISFEEDS
Clicking noise and misfeeds when the paper comes out of the paper trays.
Replace metal roller assy that is above the rubber pinch roller.

FALSE JAMS
Paper jam on power up with no paper jam actually found
Replace fuser assy and or chech swnsor in fuser for the cause of the problem

SKEWED FEED
Feeding paper crooked out of paper tray and tearing the paper
change rubber pinch roller assy and change tension springs be careful because
the front and back springs are different sizes
